The starting point
Uncollected plastic and untapped talent, in the same streets.
One problem, two solutions — if you design for both
AfriloopX begins with a simple observation: the same streets flooded with plastic were home to capable young people and women with no path to stable income. The waste and the unemployment were not separate problems — they were the same opportunity.
So we are building a model around fair pay and dignity: a community collection point that sorts, aggregates and recovers plastic close to where it is generated — keeping value, jobs and ownership inside the community.
We are an early-stage venture preparing to launch our first hub. This is the moment we are looking for founding partners to help prove and scale a model designed to reinvest in the people who make the work possible.
Operating design
A repeatable hub blueprint: collector onboarding, per-kilogram pricing, safety standards and daily volume tracking.
Community mobilisation
Direct engagement with local leaders, women's groups and youth associations before a single kilogram is collected.
Material recovery
Sorting and aggregation to specification so recovered plastic becomes a credible domestic raw material.

After years working in logistics and international business, I recognized that Africa's growing plastic crisis represented not only an environmental challenge but also one of the continent's greatest untapped economic opportunities. AfriloopX was created to develop scalable systems that convert plastic waste into sustainable livelihoods while supporting cleaner communities and stronger local economies.
